Behind The Effort
Point Breeze Business Association 501(c)3
The Point Breeze Business Association (PBBA) is a collective of businesses operating in Point Breeze that are vested in the growth and development of their neighborhood. The PBBA is organizing the Community Market to bring more commercial activity to the business corridor and provide goods like fresh produce, packaged food, hot food, art, crafted items, and a wide assortment of other options to neighbors.
The PBBA is uniquely qualified to lead these efforts because they know the community and its neighbors - they serve them daily. They are also confident this market will be an indispensable addition to neighbors and customers while driving new business. The objective is to bring vibrant, sustaining life back to the commercial corridor.
The Point Breeze Business Association, a 501(c)3 organization, was granted start-up capital from the Commerce Department under their pre-established 2024 Enhancement Grant Program. Their trust in the PBBA and those associated with the project highlights the market’s contribution to the Department of Commerce’s Corridor Revitalization Plan for Point Breeze. In providing consistent tangible and intangible offerings across human intersections of need, the association hopes to grow the market and the business opportunities on Point Breeze Avenue.
